(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Senior Deputy at the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought called unity as the greatest divine order and hailed proximity as the preliminary element for realization of that.
Hojjat-ol-Islam Mohammad Mahdi Taskhiri, a deputy of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in the conference titled "Book of Iran and Islamic Awakening", underscored the role of proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and Muslim unity.
Dr Taskhiri in this meeting highlighted the importance of unity in Islam saying," In Islam unity means faith and sedition equals blasphemy."
"Proximity is not omission or conflation of denominations but it is to find the commonalities of the denominations and paying respect to the disagreements," said the cleric expressing his definition of proximity.
He said freedom is the source of all developments made by human and said," The more logical and legal freedom we have, the more improvements we make."
"According to scholars, this freedom is to be gained when Imam Mahdi (AS), the last savior according to Islam, appears," he said.
Director of Taqrib News Agency referred to Islam as a religion whose logic wins hearts and minds and said interfaith dialogue is the best way to discover more commonalities.
He also referred to the movements made in the Arab World and said these moves are a proof for the fruitfulness of the proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
In regard to the commonalities between the Islamic Schools of Thought in different fields, he counted more than 200 books written in the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in this arena.
This Muslim cleric counted a divine behavior and ideology as a preliminary step to set Islam as an example for the world.
